USA: Ex-Ford division in positive market debut.
Visteon, the world`s second largest auto parts supplier, marked its debut (6/7/00) on the New York Stock Exchange in positive territory. Ford`s former parts-making division, reached a peak of $15.25 before falling back to $13.75, still up 44 cents on the day. Officially spun off from Ford on Wednesday (5/7/00), the company, which boasts a workforce totalling 81,000, registered sales in 1999 of $19.4 billion.
