FRANCE: Eco-friendly powertrains, wider customer choice expand appeal of Ford's Small Cars
Ford of Europe's small cars – Ka and Fiesta – enter the 2001 model year with new eco-friendly powertrain options and a wider customer choice of features, series, colours and trims. A new Fiesta E-Diesel, the most fuel-efficient Fiesta ever, joins the lineup with an ECE 'combined' fuel consumption figure of just 4.5 litres/100 km and a reduction in emissions of the so-called 'greenhouse gas' carbon dioxide (CO2) from 144 to 120 g/km (compared with the standard Ford Fiesta 1.8-litre Endura DI diesel engine).
