USA: DC and MMC advance platform-sharing plans - Wards
A report in Wards indicates that DaimlerChrysler and Mitsubishi Motors' plans to share platforms in key volume segments are well advanced. In an interview with the publication, Richard O. Schaum, head of product development, quality and passenger car operations for DC, said that the two automakers have formed a joint procurement and supply team, and components are out for bid to see how much can be shared between the next-generation cars.
