SOUTH KOREA: Daewoo resumes production
South Korean car-maker Daewoo resumed production at its main plant after a three-week stoppage, say Asian news sources (4/12/00). Quoting a company spokesman, the 'Dawn' publication reports that nearly 12,000 cars would be produced at the Pupyong plant - in the port city of Inchon - which was the site of the standstill which began on November 9.
