USA: Convertible sales up 63% since 1996
Sales of new convertibles in the United States have risen 63% since 1996, underscoring America's rekindled passion for the open-air driving experience. In 1996, convertibles accounted for only 1.3% of all registered vehicles according to RL Polk & Co but the market share is now 1.9%, a difference of more than 103,000 registrations a year.
