SOUTH KOREA: Carmakers divided on diesel - report
The Korea Herald reports that amid some controversy over the approval of diesel-engine passenger cars, local car makers have very different positions on the issue. The Herald report says that with the government set to give its final ruling on the disputed issue, Hyundai Motor and affiliated Kia Motors, which are exporting large numbers of diesel-powered cars to Europe, are actively calling for their immediate approval in Korea.
