CHINA: Car output surged 50.5% in April
The Xinhua News Agency reports that the sale and production of automobiles in China is strongly up this year. Citing figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics, it is reported that China manufactured 267,900 cars in the first four months of this year, 27.6% ahead of the same period last year. Car output surged 50.5% in April to 90,000 units, 'a record high for the country'.
