US/CANADA [updated 27.08]: Toyota recalls 1.13m Corolla and Matrix, 199,963 Vibes, to replace ECM
Toyota Motor Sales USA has announced "a voluntary safety recall" of about 1.13m 2005-2008 model year Toyota Corolla and Corolla Matrix vehicles and 199,963 Pontiac Vibes built for GM to replace engine control modules (ECM) that may have been improperly manufactured. Toyota Canada also plans a voluntary recall of 136,000 Corolla and 64,300 Matrix models.
