Right-hand drive markets such as Britain are used to waiting several months for new German cars after left-hand drive production begins. Not so with the new versions of Audi's TT Coupe with 3.2-litre V6 and twin clutch direct shift gearbox. In what Audi UK described as "an extremely rare break with normal production protocol", Audi AG in Germany has decided to build right-hand-drive versions of the new model first in recognition of strong demand for the model in Britain. Local drivers will get their new cars around a month before the Europeans.
