GERMANY: BMW`s 7-series to be revamped.
German automaker BMW is to embark upon a major redesign of its 7-series for model year 2002, reports Detroit News (19/7/00). The new models are expected to adopt a more aggressive look, with a lower and wider profile similar to the latest 3-series, says the publication. The V-8 engines currently used by the German car manufacturer are to be carried over with certain updates, with the firm expecting to install an advanced six-speed automatic transmission jointly developed with ZF.
