BELGIUM: Belgian Ford plant shuts due to parts shortage
The ongoing fuel protests blocked delivery of components, mainly from Britain, to the Ford plant at Genk, Belgium, forcing it to halt operations Friday morning. Though protesters' blockades halted deliveries of components bringing production at the Genk plant to a standstill, the effect on production at Ford's British and other European plants was minimal.
