Sales of new road vehicles in the Czech Republic grew 1.7% to 170,785 in 2000 from 167,970 in 1999, according to provisional results provided to just-auto.com by the Automotive Industry Association there. Year-on-year, volumes increased: 1.9% for commercial vehicles to 21,295 from 20,907; and 1.7% for cars to 148,730 from 146,257. Buses decreased 5.7% to 760 from 806.
