MEXICO: Auto dealers call for lower fees
The Mexican Regional Automotive Merchants Association is willing to bear the expected impact of Congress' decision to allow millions of smuggled vehicles from the US to be 'regularised' - but urged the Government to cut vehicle registration fees by 50% thus allowing the country's used car sellers to become more competitive, writes Reforma/Infolatina (19/12/00) citing Association President Ramon Cantu.
