FRANCE: August car sales slump year on year - report
Sales of new French cars slumped by 15.4% in August from the equivalent figure last year to 103,084, the French car manufacturers organisation CCFA said on Monday, according to Agence France Presse (AFP). This was the biggest such monthly fall for 12 months. Vehicle manufacturing in France is a main component of industrial activity and is seen as an indicator of the overall health of the economy.
