Audi's sales are up 12% in the first four months of this year, compared to a year ago, with sales of 304,400 vehicles to customers worldwide.

Audi delivered 77,600 vehicles in April, 4.5% more than in the same month last year. The A3 (up 19% to 85,900 units) is among models with the highest growth rates worldwide in the first four months.

Sales of the A4 cabriolet rose by 4.3% to 9,650 vehicles. The A6 posted an increase of 42% to 79,400. A8 sales totaled 8,000 units, up 19%.

About 6,300 of the new Q7 SUVs have been delivered since launch a few months ago.

The Chinese market recorded the highest growth from January to April: a total of 26,636 Audis were sold there, more than double for the same period last year (12,867). A significant increase was also recorded in April, with sales up 70% to 7,475 units.

European sales also rose considerably: 227,500 vehicles in the first four months, an increase of 6.5%. But, with 56,900 sold in April, sales were off compared to last year (57,187).

In the USA, 25,296 cars were sold between January and April (24,037), up 5.2%. April sales reached 7,412 (7,202), up almost 3%.
