RE: GERMANY: Officials, union, round on GM

I wondered all along how GM would match whatever Fiat/Chrysler offerings would reach the US market. Perhaps this is a sign that a potential US market upturn may require the Opels/Vauxhalls available in Europe to fill the potential of a GM 'small car' market in the USA?

I could not understand why GM was looking to sell Opel. The engineering support Opel provides is worth the cost. Not to mention how Opel has been used as a training ground for many GM North American engineers. Then there is the whole product issue.
