Nissan’s profit jumped 33% year on year in the last quarter of its fiscal year to 31 March, 2012 and the carmaker predicted a 28% rise for the year ahead, driven by strong sales and the global launches of 10 new models.
US: Nissan breaks ground for engine JV with Daimler

Nissan's US unit has broken ground for a second engine plant at the automaker's complex in in Decherd, Tennesee. It will produce I4 petrol engines for Infiniti, and Mercedes-Benz C-class cars assembled at Daimler's plant at Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
