US: More executive changes at Chrysler

Chrysler Group has named a new chief information officer and treasurer who take up their new roles on 1 December.

Scott Sandschafer, vice president and chief information officer will reporting to CEO Sergio Marchionne. He'll be in charge of all information technology applications and infrastructure supporting Chrysler business units in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia.

Sandschafer was previously information systems head at Fiat group subsidiary CNH America and has also headed numerous global information and communication technology programmes at Accenture.

New VP and treasurer Walter Bodden will report to CFO Richard Palmer.

He will be responsible for all group treasury activities. He joined Chrysler Corporation in 1984 and was most recently chief investment officer.

Jan Bertsch, treasurer and chief information officer, had previously announced she would leave Chrysler on 30 November to pursue other opportunities.
