Wales is being vigorously promoted - with some success - by the Welsh Development Agency as a good location, within the UK, for automotive components manufacture. The Welsh automotive industry cluster is the largest of any British region without any vehicle assembly operations and includes operations from Bosch, Calsonic, TRW, Meritor and Magna. Toyota and Ford also have major engine making facilities in Wales.
