ANALYSIS: GM/PSA partnership could bring mutual benefits

A European partnership between General Motors and PSA Peugeot-Citroen could assist both to achieve benefits from joint development and manufacturing alliances, Frost and Sullivan analysts said in a note.

CHINA: Vehicle sales rise 12.5% in April
Vehicle sales in China increased by 12.5% year on year in April. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), 1.28m sedans, SUVs, MPVs and minivans were sold last month compared to 1.14m in April 2011. For the January-April period, deliveries rose 1.9% to 5.05m.
