Fiat’s high ambitions for Lancia
Lancia has a fine sports tradition but has always, in an Italian context, been rather overshadowed by Ferrari. Since the early 1920s the company has given technical inspiration for sports car design without ever making a truly high-speed classic of its own. Later, the company undoubtedly suffered from low investment in new product. But now Fiat is seeking to take the brand into more rarefied territory. It's pretty ambitious.
